Yaśodānandana Dāsa

Yasodanandana Dasa
O Guru
You've shown me how to see
everything that can be-
a devotee, a tree, a bee-
as a spiritual spark.
On a nice sunny day,
while I was searching a way
to become fully happy,
I saw them in the park.
There was the picture of a blue boy,
in front of whom everybody danced in joy,
and the picture of an Indian sage,
dressed like people of Vedic age.
I went on chanting,
dancing
and eating…
day after day-
week after week-
month after month-
But it's on that day,
O Divine sage,
that you've extracted these teeth,
these teeth which are not at all sweet.
The poisonous teeth keep us from the feet
of the reservoir of all that is sweet:
GOVINDA
Thank You, Srila Prabhupada-
and accept my eternal service because you've extracted the material vice.
