"Our respectful obeisances are unto you, O spiritual master, servant of Sarasvati Gosvami. You are kindly preaching the message of Lord Caitanyadeva and delivering the Western countries, which are filled with impersonalism and voidism."

All glories to you, O spiritual master. As Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura has said:

"The spiritual master is receiving benediction from the ocean of mercy. Just as a cloud pours water on a forest fire to extinguish it, so the spiritual master delivers the materially afflicted world by extinguishing the blazing fire of material existence. I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual master, who is an ocean of auspicious qualities."

Dear Gurudeva, by your mercy we can now understand that everybody on this planet is enamored by the illusory satisfaction derived from sense gratification. Being thus fully engaged in activities of illusion, they reject the Krsna consciousness movement, not seeing the benefit of surrendering to Krsna, and therefore they're subjected to different and variegated miserable conditions of life, foolishly attached to this material existence and to the so-called society, friendship and love. Everyone, man or woman, is attached to this material existence and is engaged, therefore, in cheating all others in a big society of cheaters and cheated. Thus, in this modern society people don't feel the need of inquiring about spiritual realization, and due to this they are full of anxieties and are strongly bound by material desires, keeping themselves in madness. So it is very difficult to get out of the material entanglement, but by one way or another we have been favored by Krsna. By His mercy we have been given the opportunity of associating with a pure devotee like Your Divine Grace.

We can thus conclude that we have been blessed by Krsna, for now we are becoming Krsna conscious and are engaged in the preaching work of this Vaisnava philosophy.
