New Vṛndāvana

Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Bhaktivinoda Thakura writes, yogyata-vicare kichu nahi pai, tomara karuna-sara: "If you examine me, you will find no good qualities. Your mercy is all that I am made of." Individually or collectively, there is nothing to be said in our favor except that we are your disciples. By your mercy we can accomplish anything, but without Your Grace all of our so-called achievements are useless.

Our only business in life is to somehow or other regain your favor. First of all we have to receive you suitably, then we will be able to hear your message attentively. We have been instructed to accept you in our hearts to be as good as the Supreme Lord Himself: saksad-dharitvena samasta-sastrair uktas tahta bhavyata eva sadbhiḥ. Now we wish to receive you in our community in like manner.

As a body is rendered lifeless without the presence of the spirit soul, there is no meaning to New Vrindaban without your presence. Of course, we can understand that even without your actual physical presence you are still residing here. But it is all based upon desire. You will not choose to remain where you are not properly respected. Therefore we are trying to build you a palace.

We are always in a dependent position. We may have some desire but we are powerless to fulfill it by ourselves. All we can do is pray unto the lotus feet of Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha-Vrindaban Candra to allow us to finish your palace this year. Then you may bless us by coming here and making everything perfect-our working, our lives, and our entire community.
