Dear Srila Prabhupada,

A short while ago you came to America with one desire: to try to spread the Krsna consciousness movement of Lord Caitanya in the Western world. Empowered by the divine instructions of your guru-maharaja, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami, you left a nice calm residence in Vrndavana to cross the dangerous oceans and humbly approach the people of New York to take up the Hare Krsna chanting process. Now twelve years later you have so many disciples and temples not only in America but all around the world. This is indeed wonderful proof of your purity and spiritual strength.

We are continuing in the service of Lord Krsna under your guidance, knowing well that by your authority this Krsna consciousness movement will go to every town and village around the world, and it will be the only cure for this materially infected society. Although we may fall and stumble in our attempts to help you, like a young child helping his father, please forgive us for our clumsiness and continue showering your mercy upon us, for that mercy is like nectar and tastes very sweet even to the lame.

We thank you for the opportunity to worship your appearance, for this will be a landmark in history as the appearance of the savior of the world. We continually worship your lotus feet which are the only way by which one can obtain pure devotional service. These lotus feet are glorified in all the three worlds and are worshipable by great personalities like Lord Brahma. Indeed the soothing shelter of your lotus feet is the path of topmost perfection to the spiritual abode of Goloka Vrndavana.

Only by the mercy of the greatest avatara, Lord Caitanya, could it have been possible to obtain the association of the greatest acarya. Please be merciful unto us although we are offensive fools. Please keep your lotus feet always manifest in the core of our hearts.
