We beg to offer our respectful obeisances at the lotus feet of our spiritual master, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who has so kindly benedicted Caracas Mandira with his effulgent presence and predicted great things for this center. Srila Prabhupada, you sat so self-assuredly, yet kindly, on the humble seat we had built for you. You appeared to tremble with ecstasy the evening of your arrival as you sang unaccompanied some lines from Parama Karuna, describing the glories of "those two Prabhus." You are visiting your centers in order to encourage the devotees, and all the sincere assembled devotees felt their conviction swell simply by seeing your perfect example. You are the first pure devotee to visit South America in modern history, and by your grace alone we can fully take advantage of your spreading the rays of Lord Caitanya's benediction moon. You revealed a hint of your own glories one night by saying, "Unless I know everything directly and indirectly about this Krsna consciousness movement, how can I call myself the founder-acarya?" Srila Prabhupada, when, O when will we be able to enter into the most profound depths of our eternal relationship with you? We can see by shyly peering into your fathomless, loving eyes that there is an entire world of ecstasy awaiting us if we can just love you. You are so kindly encouraging, "Come on, come on!" and we are fumblingly following like hesitating babies just learning to walk. You preached one afternoon to a group of psychologists, informing them that they were simple repairing the "automobile" and not touching the "driver." You were obviously preaching on Krsna's behalf as you again and again drove home that point for almost a half hour. When will we preach fearlessly like you? When will we be mindful of Krsna's guidance as you are?

We have just homesteaded hundreds of acres of fertile land here in Venezuela, and if we are sincere, there will be thousands. We are placing a sign there, "Foundador-Acarya Su Divina Gracia A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada." The mule road is just being completed and the auto road never will be. We desire to follow strictly your instructions: "I advise you not to make it very much modernized. … You do not require any machines. … better to live without any modern amenities. …" Our distribution of Srimad-Bhagavatam in the Spanish language compares favorably with the top distributors in the world. That fire of enthusiasm which is consuming our lust has been kindled by your hand alone. That intelligence helping us to push on this movement in spite of government and press opposition is an expansion of your mind alone.
