Dear Srila Prabhupada, our lord and savior,

You have too kindly instructed these fallen souls to preach the message of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu. We like this assignment very much, but it is very difficult for us because we are like helpless and faithless bugs floating on their backs in a dark ocean. We beg for your causeless mercy upon us so that we can overcome our terrible inability to render service to you. According to Sukadeva Gosvami, simply by hearing the transcendental glories of the Lord one achieves unflinching faith. So we cannot hear enough of the nectar of Sri Krsna's holy name and pastimes. We aspire to the association of devotees who, like the Six Gosvamis of Vrndavana, constantly discuss and chant the glories of the Lord together. We beg that you be pleased by our insignificant attempts to serve you.

Srila Prabhupada, out of the limitless depths of your compassion, you have walked amongst the most wretched and sinful persons, humbly begging them to sing the holy name. It is truly a miracle that you have even charmed persons as low and unfortunate as ourselves into singing God's name. You are carrying on the work begun by Sri Krsna Caitanya and His dear friends, Thakura Haridasa and Sri Nityananda Prabhu. And they must be extremely pleased with you. If we could only please you with our preaching efforts, as you have pleased them, then we might be able to chant Hare Krsna free from offenses. Thank you for giving us this wonderful opportunity. We beg to remain at your lotus feet.
