Dear Srila Prabhupada,

Formerly, we had no desire for becoming Krsna conscious and were shamelessly serving the unlimited orders of lusty desires, without even wanting to give them up. But now you have awakened our spiritual intelligence and taught us to disobey the demands of maya. Now we are feeling somewhat relieved, having realized what a dangerous predicament we were in. We were just like blind men walking on a cliffside with jagged rocks below. We think, therefore, that you have saved our lives; indeed, you have saved us from unlimited suffering through millions of lives. What can we say or do, therefore, to express our gratitude? Certainly we cannot ever repay this debt to you. By your mercy the gateway to liberation has been opened.

Mahat-sevam dvaram ahur vimukteḥ, we pray that we may follow your instructions without deviation or concoction and thus not cause you pain. You are kindly allowing us to assist you in the worship of Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha and in spreading the mission of Lord Caitanya. Without your mercy the whole world would have gone to hell, but, by your presence, millions will be saved.

How can we estimate our good fortune to be living on the same planet, which has become a tirtha by the touch of your lotus feet, what to speak of actually being members of your movement? Certainly we must be amongst the most fortunate souls in the universe.
