Dear Srila Prabhupada,
O spiritual master, O giver of divine wisdom, O friend of the fallen, you are the giver of your own bliss and you are the only ocean of mercy. Although dwelling in Vrndavana, you have descended for the welfare of fallen souls like myself and you are preaching the divine love of Radha for Krsna. Please be kind upon me. I am a tiny part and parcel of the Supreme Lord and am always and in every way His eternal servant. As I am always hoping for His mercy and kindness, I offer myself to His most dear servitor, my spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada. (Arcana-paddhati)
In the Hari-bhakti-viveka there is a statement about how one can offer his body in self-surrender. There the devotee says, "My dear Lord, as a sold-out animal has no need to think about his maintenance and sustenance, so, because I have given up my body and soul unto You, I am no longer concerned with my maintenance and sustenance." Because you are the ocean of mercy, you have even accepted a rascal like myself as your servant, and by your causeless mercy, it is now my goal to become completely sold out to your lotus feet. The perfection of devotion to Krsna is to make your desires and your mission my entire life and soul. You wrote in the Caitanya-caritamrta (Antya 1.117) that the inner feelings of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu are His desires that His special mercy be spread throughout the world in this Kali-yuga. Therefore, your innermost desire is that these same transcendental feelings be spread purely all over the world. By your mercy I am becoming very anxious to be completely absorbed in trying to satisfy your innermost desire by using every ounce of energy of my body, mind and words to preach Krsna consciousness. since I can't achieve this position, I beg to throw myself at your lotus feet and beg you to let me have this service. You once wrote to me that I should "make program to distribute our books all over the world. Whatever progress we have made, it is simply due to distributing these books. So go on, and do not divert your mind for a moment from this." I know that with your order comes all the power of the Supreme Lord to help us execute your order. I also know that to become completely surrendered to preaching is the highest state of pure bhakti. ("The internal devotees or potencies are all eternal associates in the pastimes of the Lord. Only with them does the Lord advent to propound the sahkirtana movement, only with them does the Lord taste the mellow of conjugal love, and only with them does He distribute this love of God to people in general." Cc. Adi 7.18-19) That surpasses all types of liberation, including living on the same planet as the Lord, possessing the same opulences as the Lord, having the same bodily features as the Lord and gaining personal association with the Lord. If I purely endeavor to achieve this state of surrender then I am sure that you will guide me from within my heart at every step, and by being eternally linked with you in this way I will be able to go anywhere to preach for you, birth after birth. I cannot imagine any higher pleasure for the soul than to achieve this transcendental relationship with you by becoming absorbed in preaching and distributing your books. This process of distributing your books will liberate uncountable billions of souls and deliver them to the lotus feet of Lord Krsna, and that is your greatest satisfaction. Please kindly take this worthless soul into your association this way.
