Jagadīsa dāsa Adhikārī

1. Krsna's representative
is now among us here,
appearing like a human being,
dispelling all our fear.

2. Our vision has been clouded
by maya's blinding glare,
and thus we have become absorbed
in a contaminated affair.

3. But maya has been kicking us
and now we're asking why.
Why do I have to suffer?
Am I just born to die?

4. This is simply Krsna's plan-
to bring us all back home,
and by the grace of Sri Guru
this factor can be known.

5. The atheistic men assert
that there can be no God,
or I am God and you are God
or everything is void.

6. But Krsna's ever beyond the reach
of verbal jugglery,
and those who try to use this trick
prolong this misery.

7. For the present Age of Kali-yuga
there is no other way
to fully understand the truth
than to chant the holy name.

8. This message has been brought to earth
by Caitanya Mahaprabhu,
who is the Lord Sri Krsna Himself
in golden hue, not blue.

9. Now Lord Caitanya's messenger,
Srila Prabhupada,
is clearing up the nonsense
rascal's theories on God.

10. The friend of every living being
and dearest to the Lord,
engaged in the highest welfare work
for the benefit of all the world.

11. By the mercy of Lord Caitanya
and Srila Prabhupada
in every town and village
they'll be chanting names of God.

12. Kali is the most degraded age
and full of imperfections,
but on account of this sahkirtana movement
there's thorough purification.

13. Somehow or other it has occurred
and who can posit why?
The waves of Prabhupada's mercy
have reached such a fool as I.

14. I have no appreciation
for what has come to be.
I have no qualification,
and still he has accepted me.
