Our Dear Srila Prabhupada,

We offer our respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada, our seed-giving father, whom we aspire to serve eternally. He has given us life. He has implanted in us the seed of transcendental love of the Absolute. He has linked us to the glorious ancestry of other great souls like Himself, such as Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur, Srila Baladeva Vidyabhusana, and Srila Jiva Gosvami, all fountains of sparkling nectar of spiritual perception. He has raised us and trained us to be fit members of the spiritual society. He has passed on to us the chance to serve Krsna. He has explained to us the Bhagavad-gita and the Srimad-Bhagavatam, and He has handed over the keys to the storehouse of Truth.

Srila Prabhupada has given us all this and more. But foolish as we are we have not thanked Him. We have persisted in showing our weakness and unworthiness. Still He has remained our guardian and well-wisher. He does not need us; we need Him. And yet, although He does not neglect us, we neglect Him. We now ferverently pray that we will always be engaged in His sacred service, realizing our own insignificance. And we beg to remain in the shelter of His smiling glance.
