Most humble servitor

And tears came to our eyes
and our throats choked up
when You told
How He saved You

You are Prabhupada
the King of Comedians
and Innumerable
are the occasions

That we've been victimized
by Your Bengali proverbs
and rolled on the floor
in uncontrollable hysteria

You are Prabhupada
the kind-hearted Grandfather
Who delights in Sarasvati's rendition
of Manipuri dancing

And we've watched You
chuckle in glee
as You transcendentally
terrorize her

And her eyes widen in disbelief
at the thought of being
mailed away to America
in a tiny package

You are Prabhupada
the Perfectionist
and You dumbfounded us
that morning in Bombay

When Your hawk-like eyes
spotted us
committing offenses
we never knew existed

You are Prabhupada
More tolerant than the tree
And You lovingly accept
our impure service

And offer us knowledge
of Krsna in return
though we repeatedly
offend Your Lotus Feet

You are Prabhupada
the Master Chef
And even bitter melon, somehow
becomes sweet when You cook it

You are Prabhupada
the little Cowherd Boy from Goloka
And when You wander
round Your room

Looking at pictures
of Krsna and His friends
We realize how foolish we are
to have ever thought You an old man

You are Prabhupada
the Jet-age Swami
and the whole planet
is becoming a tirtha

By the touch
of Your Lotus Feet

You are Prabhupada
the Master Linguist
whose words and phrases
dance like puppets

On the pages of Your books
and Krsna Himself
is manifest before us
in all His splendour

You are Prabhupada
the Master of motion
and the swan-like gestures
of Your dancing hands

embrace our eyes
and captivate our hearts
enthralling us more
than a thousand ballets

You are Prabhupada
the raging lion
and the razor-like sharpness
of Your lightning attack

Rips to shreds
the imperfect argument
of even the most
formidable foe

You are Prabhupada
the submissive cow
and You give the milk of knowledge
wherever we lead You

You are Prabhupada
the Concerned Shepherd
and Krsna
the Owner of the Flock

Has sent You
to find His wayward sheep
and safely guide them
back to Home

You are Prabhupada
flawless in every respect
and therefore more than worthy
of our constant worship

And we are convinced
Srila Prabhupada
as Gaurasundara has
so nicely said it

That anyone who claims
to know anything
about Sri Krsna
must have learned it from You
