Kancanbāla Dāsī

Kancanbala Dasi
I offer my most respectful, prostrated obeisances to dearest Srila Prabhupada, who is so dear to Lord Sri Krsna on this earth, having taken shelter at His transcendental lotus feet. You, who are the dearmost friend of Krsna, by Your causeless mercy, are grabbing us fallen souls and placing us at His sweet lotus feet.
Only by my insignificant, whimsical desires, I am now engaged in this material nescience full of endless calamity from time immemorial. Impersonalism, wars, and anxieties raging, all created by conditioned souls' polluted desires. This material world is just like a turbulent whirlpool twisting and turning madly, and the conditioned souls like my fallen self are compared to the tiny particles of dust whirling in it. Here and there the bits of glittering but worthless broken glass flying. Yet the senses are drawn to the useless objects, just to get some pleasure out of them. So lower the covered souls sink, to the darkest regions of this whirlpool, attempting to find some way to fulfill the longing, unknown desire.
All seemed so hopeless, how to break free from the twisting whirlpool? I, just a particle of dust, have no strength and was groping in darkness not having a bit of knowledge what to take complete shelter of. Only by Your ever causeless mercy You are pulling me out of this dark whirlpool of birth, death, disease and old age to be situated in my constitutional position; full of bliss, knowledge and eternity, forever serving the Supreme Lord with love.
O Prabhupada, You are so merciful to me, as I am so wretched and fallen. I can't conceive and appreciate Your unlimited kindness, showing me how to approach the unapproachable, who is the fulfiller of all desires. No living entity could ever approach Lord Sri Krsna on one's own, but only through You, a pure devotee and dear friend of Krsna, can we ever associate with Him. You have given me such a priceless gift, I can never repay.
Never do I want to pray to Your Divine Self for anything, as I am such a completely unworthy servitor, but O Prabhupada, I only beg to be engaged every second and between every second in Your transcendental loving service and always be immersed in unalloyed bliss. Only by Your limitless grace, could I ever achieve this.
Jayate, Your Divine Loving Grace!
Your loving daughter,
Kancanbala Dasi
