...the mercy of the spiritual master is that if we simply accept his teachings and execute our activities in Krsna consciousness under his direction, we will be freed from material reactions and be promoted to the association of Krsna.

We must surrender. We must accept everything the spiritual master says, completely, without question or hesitation. As soon as one neglects to follow the instructions of the spiritual master, he is fallen. My spiritual master knows everything, and therefore I must execute his instructions without hesitation. If we think that we are better than Srila Prabhupada, independent of Srila Prabhupada, as good as Srila Prabhupada, on the same level as Srila Prabhupada, or anything other than the eternal microscopic servitor of the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada, then we are doomed.

guru-krsna-krpaya paya bhakti-lata-bija: By the mercy of the spiritual master and by the mercy of Krsna, one can enter into devotional service and go back to Godhead, back to home. Krsna is all merciful, and Srila Prabhupada is all merciful, but we have to be all-receptive, all-eager and all-anxious to be always engaged in his service. "…when the spiritual master sees the genuine desire of the disciples he automatically blesses the disciple with genuine spiritual understanding." Srila Prabhupada is always ready to distribute the mercy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but we must be sufficiently anxious to receive it.

When will I cry to engage only in Srila Prabhupada's service?

When will I render pure devotional service to the purest devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the supreme abode and purifier?

When will I be liberated from my own self-interest and desire only to execute the mission of my spiritual master, whose teachings can liberate anyone, whose face is like a lotus flower, and who is the eternal servitor of Lord Mukunda?

When will I always remember Srila Prabhupada, never forgetting him?

Srila Prabhupada is the complete reservoir of the Complete Whole. When will I surrender unto him completely?

When will I stop being puffed up at what I think I've done and glorify the all-glorious activities of Srila Prabhupada, the eternal servitor of Lord Urukrama?

Srila Prabhupada is pleasing everyone because he satisfies the senses of Govinda. When will I stop trying to please my own senses and only desire to give pleasure to him?

When will my only pleasure be to serve the lotus feet of my beloved spiritual master, who is the eternal pleasure of Lord Nityananda?

When will I surrender my senses to the control of my spiritual master, the servant of the Gosvamis and Lord Hrsikesa Himself?

When will I lose the taste for maya and be attracted only to serving Srila Prabhupada, whose pure devotion can attract even Lord Krsna?

I pray that my only identity may be as an eternal servitor of his holy lotus feet.
