Ānanda Dāsa Brahmacārī

I at the feet of Guru Maharaja
obeisances give prostrate;
Please drag me back to Godhead, back to home,
eternal blissful state.
No love can e'er I have for sweet Hari,
but by His kindmost grace
He gives this ripened fruit to everyone
who gives such fruit a place.
So many defects have I wondering when
I shall become sincere;
He teaches of Lord Caitanya to whomever wants
to understand and hear.
When shall my knowledge be transferred from head
to heart; and when, thus free
From bondage unto Maya, slave to Him,
I be and thus set free?
When shall I know His mercy great, unparalleled His store;
He frees from sinful reaction those who will
go forth and sin no more.
Vrndavana now more sanctified by His
merciful sojourn there.
By means of tolerance and humility,
He shows the simple way;
He presents the Vedic literature, but never
from Rūpa will He stray.
When shall I tear away my senses from
mundane, ephemeral things
And fix on Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet
to know the love he brings?
