SYNONYMS
prajapateh angirasah—of another prajapati, known as Angira; svadhaSvadha; patni—his wife; pitrn—the Pitas; atha—thereafter; atharva-angirasam—Atharvangirasa; vedam—the personified Veda; putratve—as the son; ca—and; akarot—accepted; satiSati.
TRANSLATION
The prajapati Angira had two wives, named Svadha and Sati. The wife named Svadha accepted all the Pitas as her sons, and Sati accepted the Atharvangirasa Veda as her son.
