sri-suka uvaca
iti nigadenabhistuyamano bhagavan animisarsabho varsa-dharabhivaditabhivandita-caranah sadayam idam aha.
SYNONYMS
sri-sukah uvacaSri Sukadeva Gosvami said; itithus; nigadenaby prayers in prose; abhistuyamanahbeing worshiped; bhagavanthe Supreme Personality of Godhead; animisa-rsabhahthe chief of all the demigods; varsa-dharaby King Nabhi, the Emperor of Bharata-varsa; abhivaditaworshiped; abhivanditawere bowed down to; caranahwhose feet; sadayamkindly; idamthis; ahasaid.
TRANSLATION
Sri Sukadeva Gosvami said: The priests, who were even worshiped by King Nabhi, the Emperor of Bharata-varsa, offered prayers in prose [generally they were in poetry] and bowed down at the Lords lotus feet. The Lord of lords, the ruler of the demigods, was very pleased with them, and He began to speak as follows.
