So this Kapila, Devahuti, son of Devahuti Kapila, His Saṅkhya yoga means bhakti-vitana-yogam: how bhakti, devotional service to the Lord, is expanded. That is Saṅkhya yoga. And how it is received, that is also stated here, tattva amnayam yad pravadanti saṅkhyam. Amnayam, by disciplic succession. No philosophical speculation, but as it is received by predecessor, by tradition, amnayam. Tattvam amnayam. We cannot manufacture tattva. That is improper way of understanding the truth. The activities of the spiritual field, that is Saṅkhya philosophy, not of the material fields. In the material field you will find these twenty-four kinds of elements analyzed, but beyond these twenty-four there is soul, and the soul is acting. That is called spiritual activities, or bhakti-yoga.    (More...)
