soul never dies

Prabhupada: That is not die. We never die, but we change the body. But the change of body, we take as death. Otherwise there is no death. Na jayate na mriyate va. There is no death, no birth of the soul. But just like the dress, the coat, may be old and you throw away, that means you are not annihilated. Your coat is annihilated, shirt is... Similarly, na hanyate hanyamane sarire [Bg 2.20]. After being destruction of this body, you are not destroyed. You live, but in the material existence you accept another material body. That means you continue the process of birth and death. But if you understand Krsna, if you become fit to enter into the society of Krsna, then you get only that spiritual body, no more material body. Tyaktva deham punar janma naiti mam eti [Bg 4.9], "He comes to Me." That is your eternal life.    (More...)
