Previous: Karna-the eldest son of Kunti before her marriage to Pandu. She had received a mantra from Durvasa Muni that she could call any deva and conceive children. In her innocence she called Surya, the sun-god and conceived Karna. She was forced to abandon the child out of fear of her relatives. Karna was then raised by Adhiratha and Radha.
