বাহু তুলি' প্রভু কহে - বল 'কৃষ্ণ' 'হরি' ।
দণ্ডবৎ করে লোকে হরিধ্বনি করি' ॥ ১৭৬ ॥

bahu tuli' prabhu kahe-bala 'krsna' 'hari'

danḍavat kare loke hari-dhvani kari'

SYNONYMS

bahu tuli'-raising His two arms; prabhu kahe-Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu says; bala-please say; krsna hari-Krsna, Hari; danḍavat kare-offer their respects; loke-the people; hari-dhvani kari'-loudly chanting the name of Hari.

TRANSLATION

When Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu passed by the people, He would raise His arms and say, "Please chant Krsna! Please chant Hari!" All the people received Him by chanting Hare Krsna, and they offered their respects to Him by this chanting.
