গঙ্গা-যমুনা প্রয়াগ নারিল ডুবাইতে ।
প্রভু ডুবাইল কৃষ্ণপ্রেমের বন্যাতে ॥ ৪০ ॥

gaṅga-yamuna prayaga narila dubaite

prabhu dubaila krsna-premera vanyate

SYNONYMS

gaṅga-yamuna-the River Ganges and River Yamuna; prayaga-Prayaga; narila-were not able; dubaite-to flood; prabhu-Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; dubaila-flooded; krsna-premera-of ecstatic love of Krsna; vanyate-in an inundation.

TRANSLATION

Prayaga is located at the confluence of two rivers-the Ganges and the Yamuna. Although these rivers were not able to flood Prayaga with water, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu inundated the whole area with waves of ecstatic love for Krsna.
