"কহ, - তাহাঁ কৈছে রহে রূপ-সনাতন ?
কৈছে রহে, কৈছে বৈরাগ্য, কৈছে ভোজন ? ১২৫ ॥

"kaha,-tahah kaiche rahe rūpa-sanatana?

kaiche rahe, kaiche vairagya, kaiche bhojana?

SYNONYMS

kaha-please describe; tahah-there; kaiche-how; rahe-remain; rūpa-Rūpa Gosvami; sanatana-Sanatana Gosvami; kaiche rahe-how do they live; kaiche vairagya-how do they practice renunciation; kaiche bhojana-how do they eat.

TRANSLATION

They would ask those returning from Vrndavana, "How are Rūpa and Sanatana doing in Vrndavana? What are their activities in the renounced order? How do they manage to eat?" These were the questions asked.
