purva-ratrye jagannatha dekhi' 'ajna' lana
sesa-ratre uthi' prabhu calila lukana
SYNONYMS
purva-ratryeon the previous night; jagannatha dekhi'-seeing Lord Jagannatha; ajna lanataking permission; sesa-ratrenear the end of night; uthi'-rising; prabhuSri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; calilastarted; lukanawithout being seen.
TRANSLATION
On the previous night, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu had visited Lord Jagannatha and taken His permission. Now, near the end of night, the Lord got up and started immediately. He was not seen by others.
