kaste-srstye dhenu saba rakhila goyala
prabhu-kantha-dhvani suni' aise mrgi-pala
SYNONYMS
kaste-srstyewith great difficulty; dhenuthe cows; sabaall; rakhilakept back; goyalathe cowherd men; prabhu-kantha-dhvanithe musical voice of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; suni'-hearing; aisecame; mrgi-palaflocks of deer.
TRANSLATION
It was with great difficulty that the cowherd men were able to keep the cows back. Then when the Lord chanted, all the deer heard His sweet voice and approached Him.
