nana-puspodyane tatha khele ratri-dine
laksmidevire sange nahi laya ki karane?
SYNONYMS
nana-puspa-udyanein the various flower gardens; tathathere; kheleHe plays; ratri-dineboth day and night; laksmi-devireLaksmidevi, the goddess of fortune; sangewith Him; nahidoes not; layatake; ki karanewhat is the reason.
TRANSLATION
"The Lord enjoys His pastimes day and night in various flower gardens there. But why did He not take Laksmidevi, the goddess of fortune, with Him?"
