kataka dayita kare skandha alambana
kataka dayita dhare sri-padma-carana
SYNONYMS
kataka dayitasome of the dayitas; karedo; skandhaof the shoulders; alambanacapturing; katakasome; dayitaservants called dayitas; dharecatch; sri-padma-caranathe lotus feet of the Lord.
TRANSLATION
While carrying the Deity of Lord Jagannatha, some of the dayitas took hold of the shoulders of the Lord, and some caught His lotus feet.
