na khaile jagadananda karibe upavasa
tanra age kichu kha'na-mane ai trasa
na khaile—if He did not eat; jagadananda—Jagadananda; karibe—will observe; upavasa—fasting; tanra age—before him; kichu kha'na—eats something; mane—within the mind; ai—that; trasa—fear.
The Lord knew that if He did not eat the food offered by Jagadananda, Jagadananda would certainly fast. Being afraid of this, Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu ate some of the prasada he offered.
