dekhiyā ta' chadma kaila yena dekhe nāñi
mukundere puche,-kāhāṅ bhāratī-gosāñi
dekhiyā—seeing; ta'—certainly; chadma kaila—pretended; yena—as if; dekhe—sees; nāñi—not; mukundere puche—inquired from Mukunda; kāhāṅ—where; bhāratī-gosāñi—Brahmānanda Bhāratī, my spiritual master.
Seeing Brahmānanda Bhāratī wearing the deerskin, Caitanya Mahāprabhu pretended not to see him. Instead, He asked Mukunda Datta, "Where is Brahmānanda Bhāratī, My spiritual master?"
