বৃন্দাবন হৈতে যদি নীলাচলে আইলা ।
আঠার বর্ষ তাহাঁ বাস, কাহাঁ নাহি গেলা ॥ ২৪৯ ॥
vrndavana haite yadi nilacale aila
athara varsa tahaṅ vasa, kahaṅ nahi gela
vrndavana haite-from Vrndavana; yadi-though; nilacale-to Jagannatha Puri; aila-came back; athara-eighteen; varsa-years; tahaṅ-at Jagannatha Puri; vasa-residence; kahaṅ-anywhere; nahi-not; gela-went.
When the Lord returned to Jagannatha Puri from Vrndavana, He remained there and did not go anywhere else for eighteen years.
