cabbisa vatsara sese yei magha-masa
tara sukla-pakse prabhu karila sannyasa
SYNONYMS
cabbisa vatsaraof those twenty-four years; seseat the end; yeiwhich; magha-masathe month of Magha (January-February); taraof that month; sukla-pakseduring the fortnight of the waxing moon; prabhuthe Lord; karilaaccepted; sannyasathe renounced order of life.
TRANSLATION
At the end of His twenty-fourth year, in the month of Magha, during the fortnight of the waxing moon, the Lord accepted the renounced order of life, sannyasa.
