dadira bandhane-by bonds of ropes; taṅre-him; rakhiba-will you keep; ke-mate-how; janma-data pita-the father who begets the child; nare-is not able; prarabdha-the reaction of previous activities; khandaite-to nullify.
"How then could we keep this boy home by binding him with ropes? It is not possible even for one's father to nullify the reactions of one's past activities.
