মাতার আজ্ঞায় আমি বসি নীলাচলে ।
তাহাঁ 'ধর্ম' শিখাইতে নাহি নিজ-বলে ॥ ৮২ ॥

matara ajnaya ami vasi nilacale

tahaṅ 'dharma' sikhaite nahi nija-bale

SYNONYMS

matara-of My mother; ajnaya-by the order; ami-I; vasi-reside; nilacale-at Jagannatha Puri; tahaṅ-in Mathura and Vrndavana; dharma sikhaite-to teach religious principles; nahi-not; nija-bale-within My ability.

TRANSLATION

"By the order of My mother I am sitting here in Jagannatha Puri; therefore, I cannot go to Mathura-Vrndavana to teach people how to live there according to religious principles.
