বস্তুতঃ প্রভু যবে কৈলা আলিঙ্গন ।
তাঁর স্পর্শে গন্ধ হৈল চন্দনের সম ॥ ১৯৮ ॥
vastutah prabhu yabe kaila aliṅgana
taṅra sparse gandha haila candanera sama
vastutah-in fact; prabhu-Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; yabe-when; kaila-did; aliṅgana-embracing; taṅra sparse-by His touch; gandha haila-there was a fragrance; candanera sama-exactly like that of sandalwood pulp.
In fact, however, when Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu embraced the body of Sanatana Gosvami, by the Lord's touch alone there was manifest a fragrance exactly like that of sandalwood pulp.
