যাবৎ কীর্তন সমাপ্ত নহে, না করি অন্য কাম ।
কীর্তন সমাপ্ত হৈলে, হয় দীক্ষার বিশ্রাম ॥ ২৪১ ॥

yavat kirtana samapta nahe, na kari anya kama

kirtana samapta haile, haya diksara visrama

SYNONYMS

yavat-as long as; kirtana-chanting; samapta-finished; nahe-is not; na-not; kari-I do; anya-other; kama-desire; kirtana-chanting; samapta-finished; haile-becoming; haya-there is; diksara-of initiation; visrama-rest.

TRANSLATION

"As long as the vow to chant is unfulfilled, I do not desire anything else. When I finish my chanting, then I have an opportunity to do anything.
