কাষ্ঠের পুতলী যেন কুহকে নাচায় ।
ঈশ্বর-চরিত্র কিছু বুঝন না যায় ॥ ৮৫ ॥

kasthera putali yena kuhake nacaya

isvara-caritra kichu bujhana na yaya

SYNONYMS

kasthera-made of wood; putali-doll; yena-as; kuhake-a magician; nacaya-causes to dance; isvara-caritra-the characteristic of the Supreme Personality of Godhead; kichu bujhana na yaya-no one can understand.

TRANSLATION

As a wooden doll dances to the will of a puppeteer, everything is accomplished by the will of the Lord. Who can understand the characteristics of the Supreme Personality of Godhead?
