ami ganga-pathe ailana, tinho raja-pathe
ataeva amara dekha nahila tanra sathe
ami—I; ganga-pathe—on the path on the bank of the Ganges; ailana—I came; tinho—he; raja-pathe—on the public road; ataeva—therefore; amara—my; dekha—meeting; nahila—was not possible; tanra sathe—with him.
I came by the path on the bank of the Ganges, whereas Sanatana Gosvami came by the public road. Therefore we did not meet.
