রায় কহে, - "লোকের সুখ ইহার শ্রবণে ।
অভীষ্ট-দেবের স্মৃতি মঙ্গলাচরণে ।।" ১৮২ ।। ॥ ১৮২ ॥

raya kahe,-"lokera sukha ihara sravane

abhista-devera smrti maṅgalacarane"

SYNONYMS

raya kahe-Ramananda Raya says; lokera-of the people in general; sukha-happiness; ihara sravane-in hearing such poetic expressions; abhista-devera-of the worshipable Deity; smrti-remembrance; maṅgalacarane-in the performance of auspiciousness in the beginning.

TRANSLATION

Ramananda Raya said, "Instead of joking, people in general will feel great pleasure in hearing such poetry, for the initial remembrance of the worshipable Deity invokes good fortune."
