sva-madhurya asvadite karena yatana
bhakta-bhava vinu nahe taha asvadana
SYNONYMS
sva-madhuryathe sweetness of Himself; asvaditeto taste; karena yatanamakes endeavors; bhakta-bhavathe emotion of being a devotee; vinuwithout; nahethere is not; tahathat; asvadanatasting.
TRANSLATION
He tries to taste His own sweetness, but He cannot do so without accepting the emotions of a devotee.
PURPORT
Lord Sri Krsna wanted to relish the transcendental mellow of a devotee, and therefore He accepted the role of a devotee by appearing as Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
