মঙ্গলাচরণং কৃষ্ণচৈতন্য-তত্ত্বলক্ষণম্‌ ।
প্রয়োজনঞ্চাবতারে শ্লোকষট্‌কৈর্নিরূপিতম্‌ ॥ ২৭৬ ॥

mahgalacaranam krsna-caitanya-tattva-laksanam

prayojanam cavatare sloka-satkair nirūpitam

SYNONYMS

mahgala-acaranam-invoking auspiciousness; krsna-caitanya-of Lord Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu; tattva-laksanam-symptoms of the truth; prayojanam-necessity; ca-also; avatare-in the matter of His incarnation; sloka-verses; satkaiḥ-by six; nirūpitam-ascertained.

TRANSLATION

Thus the auspicious invocation, the essential nature of the truth of Lord Caitanya, and the need for His appearance have been set forth in six verses.
