আনুষঙ্গ-কর্ম এই অসুর-মারণ ।
যে লাগি' অবতার, কহি সে মূল কারণ ॥ ১৪ ॥

anusaṅga-karma ei asura-marana

ye lagi' avatara, kahi se mula karana

SYNONYMS

anusaṅga-karma-secondary work; ei-this; asura-of the demons; marana-killing; ye-that; lagi'-for; avatara-the incarnation; kahi-I shall speak; se-the; mula-root; karana-cause.

TRANSLATION

Thus the killing of the demons is but secondary work. I shall now speak of the main reason for the Lord's incarnation.
