আজি তাঁরে নিবেদিব, করি' জপ-ধ্যান ।
শিশুদ্বারে কৈল মোরে এত অপমান ॥ ৯৬

aji taṅre nivediba, kari' japa-dhyana

sisu-dvare kaila more eta apamana

SYNONYMS

aji-today; taṅre-unto her; nivediba-I shall offer my prayers; kari'-performing; japa-chanting; dhyana-meditation; sisu-dvare-through a boy; kaila-has done; more-unto me; eta-so much; apamana-insult.

TRANSLATION

"I shall offer prayers and meditation to the goddess of learning," the champion concluded, "and ask her why she has insulted me so greatly through this boy."
