কহিতে চাহয়ে কিছু, না আইসে উত্তর ।
তবে বিচারয়ে মনে হইয়া ফাঁফর ॥ ৮৮ ॥
kahite cahaye kichu, na aise uttara
tabe vicaraye mane ha-iya phaṅphara
kahite-to speak; cahaye-wants; kichu-something; na-not; aise-comes; uttara-any reply; tabe-thereafter; vicaraye-considers; mane-within the mind; ha-iya-becoming; phaṅphara-puzzled.
He wanted to say something, but no reply could come from his mouth. He then began to consider this puzzle within his mind.
