সূর্য চন্দ্র বাহিরের তমঃ সে বিনাশে ।
বহির্বস্তু ঘট-পট-আদি সে প্রকাশে ॥ ৯৭ ॥

sūrya candra bahirera tamaḥ se vinase

bahir-vastu ghata-pata-adi se prakase

SYNONYMS

sūrya-the sun; candra-the moon; bahirera-of the external world; tamaḥ-darkness; se-they; vinase-destroy; bahiḥ-vastu-external things; ghata-waterpots; pata-adi-space, etc.; se-they; prakase-reveal.

TRANSLATION

The sun and moon dissipate the darkness of the external world and thus reveal external material objects like pots and plates.
