Imported quote 23401 Tamala Krsna: I was thinking that we could make a point to have many big festivals here each year, not just this one, but many.
(More...) Prabhupada: Yes, at least three, four you can do. On Janmastami, one; Dola Pūrnima; for Sri Rama-navami; and one, Ratha-yatra.
(More...) Tamala Krsna: That coincides. Rama-navami is spring, Ratha-yatra is summer, and Janmastami is fall.
(More...) Prabhupada: Janmastami, take Radha-Krsna procession.
(More...) Prabhupada: No, on simhasana, carried by men.
(More...) Prabhupada: Palanquin, yes; no, the simhasana as it is. Just like this is simhasana, two big poles down, and tie it with..., cut it with legs and carry, four men or eight men change. Change the soldiers.
(More...) Prabhupada: No. Chariot, only Ratha-yatra.
(More...) Tamala Krsna: It took about seven hours to bring the carts back. All night they worked. Jayananda was slaving out there, and Adi-kesa Swami. Adi-kesa finally got back at five in the morning, collapsed on the carts. He was exhausted.
(More...) Imported quote 24416 Tamala Krsna: Oh, it is first class. So we sent our big truck there, and we picked it up, and we brought it here and assembled it, and now we have three carts. And these carts will be disassembled and kept in the garage. And the nice thing is that we are now on Sixtieth Street and Eleventh Avenue and the festival is on Fifty-ninth and Fifth. Very easy to get there.
