Brahman is just the opposite of matter. Therefore brahmi sthitiḥ means "notontheplatformofmaterialactivities." Devotional service of the Lord is accepted in the Bhagavad-gita [14.26] as the liberated stage. Therefore, brahmi-sthitiḥ is liberation from material bondage.
