source of matter?

So this is wrong theory that matter automatically takes the explosion or something like that. Matter is handled by some superior living being. Then it explodes or whatever you call. It reacts. Otherwise, it is not possible. And because the living being takes the superior position for explosion of matter or reaction of matter, therefore in the Bhagavad-gita it is admitted that the matter is handled by the living being; it is inferior energy. Both of them are energies of the Supreme Lord, but one is superior energy, another is inferior energy. That is the statement in the Bhagavad-gita. Bhūmir apo 'nalo vayuḥ [Bg 7.4], these material things-earth, water, air, fire-they are inferior energy. And Krsna says, apareyam: "They are inferior. There is another, superior energy." Apareyam itas tu viddhi me prakrtim para: "There is another, superior energy." And what is that superior energy? Now, jiva-bhūta, "These living entities." Jiva-bhūta maha-baho. The superior energy is not produced by the inferior energy. That is nonsense. The inferior energy is produced by the superior energy. This is perfect. We have got experience that the superior controls the inferior, not that inferior controls the superior. Where you get all this idea? Therefore it has been described as apara and para prakrti. And what is that para prakrti? Jiva-bhutam maha-baho yayedam dharyate jagat [Bg 7.5]. The whole world is being manipulated by this superior energy. Just like we have got experience that a human being, an engineer, he is creating a skyscraper building, not that a skyscraper building is creating an engineer. Where is this theory?    (More...)

Regarding your questions, matter originally is spirit and when spirit is not distinctly understood, that is matter. Just like a tree is also a manifestation of spirit soul, but the consciousness is covered. When the tree is cut, it does not protest. But the moving entity has stronger consciousness than the tree. There is consciousness in the tree though. Also consciousness in a dormant state is matter; consciousness in a completely developed state is spirit. Matter is the symbol of undeveloped consciousness.    (More...)
As for your third question is concerned everything is in the spiritual world. Krishna is the sum total of spirit and everything is coming from Him. Aham sarvasya prabhavo . . . [Bg 10.8]. Matter, spirit, everything comes from Him. He is the supreme life, the origin of spirit and life. Therefore matter emanates from life. Nityo nityanam . . . He is the Supreme Consciousness of all other consciousness.    (More...)

Dr. Wolf-Rottkay: Srila Prabhupada, there is the idea that matter comes from life.    (More...)
Dr. Wolf-Rottkay: I do not quite see how. I do not quite understand how matter can come from life.    (More...)
Prabhupada: Just like a man, a mechanic, was sleeping, and as soon as he awakes, he again begins to manufacture motorcar. In the sleeping stage he was doing nothing. But awakened state, he begins his work. So therefore he is living being, and the motorcar comes from him, not that the motorcar was sleeping. He was sleeping, the living entity.    (More...)
