So this worship is going on under this parampara system. It is not manufactured. Acaryam mam... What the acarya says, if you follow, then you become perfect. Tad viddhi pranipatena pariprasnena sevaya [Bg 4.34]. If you follow the instruction of acarya, then you understand perfectly everything, tad viddhi prani... But you have to understand by pranipatena, by submission, not by challenging. If you challenge, then you will never be able to understand. This whole process is submission. Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg 18.66]. If you are not prepared to submit, then you will never understand. You will remain in this tama, tama. Tamasi ma. But don't remain in tama. Mad-yajinaḥ, Krsna says. "Those who are worshiping Me," yajana... Yajana means worshiping. So Krsna therefore advises, man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru [Bg 18.65]. So Krsna worship, mad-yaji, worshiping Krsna... Krsna says, "Worship Me." What is that? Mam namaskuru. If you simply come in this temple and offer little obeisances, danḍavat... Danḍa, danḍa means "rod"; vat means "like." Just like one stick falls straight on the ground, similarly, if we fall straight before the Deity, that is called danḍavat, "like the stick." Danḍavat-pranama. Prakrsta-rūpena namrata. Namrata is required. Jnane prayasam udapasya namanta eva. Namanta: be submissive. So this danḍavat is the symbolic presentation of submission. And Krsna wants that. Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg 18.66], submission. The bhakti process is simply submission. So mad-yajino 'pi yanti mam [Bg 9.25]. If you do not study or if you have no education to study Vedic literatures, you simply... The temple is installed for this purpose, that if somebody comes, simply offers his obeisances before the Deity, before the spiritual master, simply by doing that he will become perfect. Just like these children. A small child is offering obeisances. It may be said that they are imitating, but not all child imitates. There are many children. So there are fortunate children who comes here, offers obeisances, dances with kirtana, and... So these are not in vain. That is our material disease. If somebody is ordered to do something, he protests, "Who are you to order me?" This is the position. God Himself, Krsna, what can He say? He orders, the Supreme Person, Supreme Being. He must order. He's the supreme controller. He must order. That is God. But we are so foolish that when God orders that "You do this," we take it otherwise: "Oh, who is this man? He's ordering like that. And sarva-dharman parityajya, 'giving up everything'? Why shall I give Him?" Sarva-dharman: "I have created so many dharmas, 'isms.' I shall give it up? Why shall I give it up?" Therefore the same Lord came again as Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Today is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's appearance day, so we must discuss this very thoroughly, that, that Rūpa Gosvami understood it. Therefore we have to go through guru. Rūpa Gosvami is our guru. If we want to understand the transcendental position of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, then we have to go through guru, guru-parampara system. Otherwise it is not possible. Rūpa-raghunatha pade haibe akuti. Unless we accept this process, unless we submit... This whole process is submission. Krsna wants this. Sarva-dharman parityajya [Bg 18.66]. So if you want to approach Krsna, you have to become very submissive. And to whom? "Krsna is not here. To whom I shall submit?" No. To His devotee, to His representative.
