Imported quote 18864 So originally everything is coming from the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore Krsna, simplifying the matter and informing us, "You fools, you try to understand," aham sarvasya prabhavaḥ [Bg 10.8], "I am the origin." And Vedanta-sūtra says that janmady asya yataḥ. Janma adi, from whom, that is Brahman. That is Krsna. Janma, this janma, or the creation of this material cosmic manifestation, phenomenal world, that who is the cause of janma? The cause is Krsna. Aham adir hi devanam [Bg 10.2]. Then He is the cause of Brahma, devanam, Siva. Padma-palasa-locana, padma, padma-nabha. Therefore Visnu's another name is Padmanabha. Padmanabha, He causes the lotus flower from His navel, and there is Brahma. And then Brahma creates whole universe. The original creator is bhagavad-virya-coditat, not this material. The material, there was no existence of the material. The materials are created by the supreme living being, nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam [Katha Upanisad 2.2.13].
(More...) It is said in the śruti-mantras that the all-perfect Lord glanced over matter and thus created all living beings. That the Supreme Lord, the Personality of Godhead, is All-perfect is confirmed in all Sruti Mantras. It is said in the Sruti Mantras that the All perfect Lord glanced over matter, and thus He created all living beings. The living beings are parts and parcels of the Lord, and He impregnates the vast material Nature with the seeds of spiritual sparks, and thus the creative energies are set in motion for so many wonderful creations. One atheist friend argued that God is no more expert than the manufacturer of a subtle watch which moves by delicate machineries. We had to reply to the atheist friend that God is still a greater mechanic than the watchmaker in the sense that He creates one machine in duplicate male and female forms. The male and female forms of different grades of machinery go on producing innumerable quantities of similar machines without the further attention of God. If a man could manufacture such sets of duplicate machines to produce further machines without any attention from the original manufacturer, then of course a man, could equal the intelligence of God. But that is not possible. Each and every one of the imperfect machines have to be handled individually by the mechanic, for nobody can be equal in intelligence to God. Another Name of God is therefore Asmaurdha. Nobody is equal to or greater than Him. Everybody has his equal or superior in intelligence, and nobody can claim that he has neither. This fact is corroborated in the Sruti Mantras, where it is said that before the Creation of the material Universe, there was the Lord, Who is the Master of everyone. The Lord instructed Brahma in the Vedic knowledge. That Personality of Godhead has to be obeyed in all respects. Anybody who wants to become free of the material entanglement must, therefore, surrender unto Him. This is confirmed in the Bhagavad Gita also [18.66].
(More...) One should not expect the Lord to create like a blacksmith with a hammer and other instruments. The Lord creates by His potencies. One should not expect the Lord to create like the blacksmith with a hammer and other instruments. The Lord creates by His potencies. He has His multifarious potencies (parasya saktir vividhaiva srūyate). Just as the small seed of a banyan fruit has the potency to create a big banyan tree, similarly the Lord disseminates all varieties of seeds by His potential brahmajyoti (sva-rocisa), and the seeds are made to develop by the watering process of persons like Brahma. Brahma cannot create the seeds, but he can manifest the seed into a tree, just as a gardener helps the plants and orchards to grow by the watering process. The example cited here of the sun is very appropriate. In the material world the sun is the cause of all illumination: fire, electricity, the rays of the moon, etc. All luminaries in the sky are creations of the sun, the sun is the creation of the brahmajyoti, and the brahmajyoti is the effulgence of the Lord. Thus the ultimate cause of creation is the Lord.
(More...) The entire cosmic manifestation of the gigantic universe is developed because of the presence of the Supersoul, Viṣṇu. Everything that exists is a product of matter and spirit. Spirit is the basic field of creation, and matter is created by spirit. Spirit is not created at a certain stage of material development. Rather, this material world is manifested only on the basis of spiritual energy. This material body is developed because spirit is present within matter; a child grows gradually to boyhood and then to manhood because of that superior energy, spirit soul, being present. Similarly, the entire cosmic manifestation of the gigantic universe is developed because of the presence of the Supersoul, Visnu. Therefore spirit and matter, which combine together to manifest this gigantic universal form, are originally two energies of the Lord, and consequently the Lord is the original cause of everything. A fragmental part and parcel of the Lord, namely, the living entity, may by manipulation of material energy construct a skyscraper, factory or city, but he cannot create matter out of nothing, and he certainly cannot construct a planet or a universe. The cause of the universe is the Supersoul, Krsna, the supreme creator of all individual souls and the original cause of all causes, as the Katha Upanisad confirms: nityo nityanam cetanas cetananam.
(More...) Krsna, the Supreme Lord, speaking in Bhagavad-gita, explains the position of the living entity in the material world: "The living entities in this conditional world are My fragmental parts, and they are eternal. But due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind." (Bg. 15.7) He also kindly explains to His disciple Arjuna in this book of instruction to the bewildered souls that the living entities are of His superior energy. Lord Krsna has multi-energies-He is the controller of both the inferior (material) and superior (spiritual) natures. He is called the Energetic, since from Him everything is emanating. "Of all that is material and all that is spiritual in this world, know for certain that I am both the origin and dissolution." (Bg. 7.6) If the living entity accepts the control of the source of all energies, he then becomes rightly situated in his original spiritual nature, and he becomes the same in quality as the Energetic.
(More...) This material world is a temporary manifestation of one of the energies of the Lord. All the activities of the material world are directed by these three Viṣṇu expansions of Lord Kṛṣṇa. This material world is a temporary manifestation of one of the energies of the Lord. All the activities of the material world are directed by these three Visnu expansions of Lord Krsna. These Purusas are called incarnations. Generally one who does not know the science of God (Krsna) assumes that this material world is for the enjoyment of the living entities and that the living entities are the causes (Purusas), controllers and enjoyers of the material energy. According to Bhagavad-gita this atheistic conclusion is false. In the verse under discussion it is stated that Krsna is the original cause of the material manifestation. Srimad-Bhagavatam also confirms this. The ingredients of the material manifestation are separated energies of the Lord. Even the brahmajyoti, which is the ultimate goal of the impersonalists, is a spiritual energy manifested in the spiritual sky. There are no spiritual diversities in brahmajyoti as there are in the Vaikunthalokas, and the impersonalist accepts this brahmajyoti as the ultimate eternal goal. The Paramatma manifestation is also a temporary all-pervasive aspect of the Ksirodakasayi Visnu. The Paramatma manifestation is not eternal in the spiritual world. Therefore the factual Absolute Truth is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Krsna. He is the complete energetic person, and He possesses different separated and internal energies.
