Indians

Imported quote 18178
And in India everybody is conscious of Krsna. Somebody... I am asked in foreign countries, "How many Krsna conscious people are there in India?" That "India... In India the cent per cent, they are Krsna conscious." Unfortunately, they have artificially covered that by the so-called blind leaders. Andha yathandhair upaniyamanaḥ. The leaders are advising them, "What is the use of becoming Krsna conscious? Now you become technical conscious." So no, that will not make us happy. We have to become Krsna conscious, especially in India, because he has got his birth in India for developing Krsna consciousness. So we should not give up this opportunity. Not only that: we shall become fully Krsna conscious, and we shall go out, outside India, to preach Krsna consciousness movement. That is para-upakara. That is the best welfare activities in the human society. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission. Bharata-bhūmite manusya-janma haila yara .    (More...)
Imported quote 18256
Krsna wants this business. And Krsna's representative also says that you give up everything, simply surrender to Krsna. This is Krsna's representative. Sometimes we are very much eulogized, "I have done a wonderful thing," but I have done as representative of Krsna. Same thing. I have told all these boys and girls nothing magic. I never showed any gold-making magic. I simply said to them that "Here is Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. You surrender unto Him." That's all. Ask anything. I never said anything. So that is actually representative. Anyone can become Krsna's representative, everyone, especially Indians. They should become Krsna's representative. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission.    (More...)
Para-upakara means the whole world does not know about the message of Krsna, therefore it is the greatest welfare activities to carry this message and inform them. This is the work of Krsna's representative, and any Indian can do it. But they'll not do it. They will take Bhagavad-gita and speak their hodgepodge, that's all. That is not Krsna's representative. Therefore it has not been successful. For the last two hundred years so many svamis and yogis went to foreign countries, but nobody spoke about Krsna. Simply hodgepodge. Therefore there was not a single person accepted this cult, Vedic culture. That is practical.    (More...)
Imported quote 18304
And that is the duty of the Indians, bharata-vasi. That is also Caitanya Mahaprabhu's desire.    (More...)
This Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mercy, krsna-prema distribution, is the best, topmost para-upakara, welfare activity. Therefore every Indian should take up this job, bharata-bhūmite manusya-janma haila yara. So every Indian should understand the philosophy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu or the philosophy of Krsna, Krsna consciousness, the same philosophy. Krsna says His philosophy is sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg 18.66]: "Just surrender to Me. I will give you protection." And Caitanya Mahaprabhu's philosophy is the same. He is Krsna, but as He has appeared as devotee, He says, yare dekha, tare kaha 'krsna'-upadesa [Cc Madhya 7.128]: "Whomever you meet, you Indian, bharata-vasi, you just try to understand this Krsna philosophy, Bhagavad-gita, and make your life successful and go door to door and say this 'krsna'-upadesa." What is 'krsna'-upadesa? Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja. Bas. You become guru. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission.    (More...)
Imported quote 18362
Caitanya Mahaprabhu has said who is guru. He asked everyone to become guru. His mission is that people are suffering all over the world for want of this Krsna consciousness, or God consciousness. That's a fact. So He is advising everyone, especially those who are born in India,    (More...)
That is His mission. He is requesting every Indian, every Indian, because they have got the facility for understanding what is Bhagavad-gita, what is Srimad-Bhagavatam, what is Vedas. They have got this opportunity. Therefore He says, janma sarthaka kari': "You have taken your birth in India. You make your life successful by taking advantage of these scriptures, and then assimilate the knowledge and preach all over the world." They are in darkness. That is being repeatedly said. But we are not taking advantage of. We are so misfortunate. We are misguided by the so-called leaders that we are neglecting this valuable literature which is spoken by Bhagavan. We are talking of some nonsense. That is our misfortune. So we have to take knowledge from Bhagavan and spread it all over the world. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's... So He says that "You become guru." He says, amara ajnaya guru hana [Cc Madhya 7.128]: "By My order." Don't become a so-called guru, manufactured guru. "You become guru by following My instruction." Amara ajnaya guru hana.    (More...)
Imported quote 19475
That is the symptoms of guru. And Caitanya Mahaprabhu says, because we are discussing Caitanya-caritamrta, He said that you become, all of you, become guru. He said. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission. He said,    (More...)
This is Indian mission, para-upakara. Not exploit others-to give something. That is Indian mission. That is Indian mission, that he has to give something. He has nothing to take; he has to give something. And what is that? That Caitanya Mahaprabhu teaches, that amara ajnaya guru hana tara' ei desa [Cc Madhya 7.128]. Even if you cannot deliver the whole world or very expansive area, at least, wherever you are, you just deliver them. Amara ajnaya guru hana tara ei desa: "You become a guru by My order." So one may say that "I have no qualification. How can I become a guru or how can I deliver these fallen persons?" So Krsna, Caitanya Mahaprabhu, says, "Don't be disappointed."    (More...)
Bas. Simply as messenger, as peon, you simply carry the messages of Bhagavad-gita, krsna-upadesa. Then you become guru. Then you become guru. It is not difficult. So it is the duty of every Indian not to forget their culture, but bring that culture, here, wherever you are living, and behave yourself to that culture and teach others. That is Indian mission.    (More...)
Imported quote 19700
Anyone who has taken birth in India, Bharata-varsa means... Formerly, Bharata-varsa means the whole planet. Now it has come, India. Never mind. So "Anyone who has taken birth in India, Bharata-varsa, let him make his life successful," and kara para-upakara, "and go outside India and do good to others." Para-upakara. This is India's business. India's business is to distribute the spiritual knowledge all over the world, because they are in darkness. Therefore Caitanya Mahaprabhu said that bharata-bhūmite manusya-janma haila yara, janma sarthaka kari: "First of all you become successful." Because in India you will find Vedas, Upanisads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas and Vedanta-sūtra, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Bhagavad-gita, so many other things, all Vedic literature.    (More...)
Imported quote 19708
Vedic knowledge is revelation. Vedic knowledge is not understood by so-called mundane scholarship, by reading grammar. No. Vedic knowledge is possible to be understood by a person who has got unflinching faith in the bona fide guru. Guru means representative of Krsna-Krsna and His representative. We have repeatedly discussed this fact that guru means the bona fide servant of Krsna. Guru does not mean a magician or jugglery. That is not guru. Guru means... It is explained by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu very easily how to become guru. He has asked everyone, especially those who are born in India, bharata bhūmite manusya-janma haila yara .    (More...)
Imported quote 19840
They can become purified by Krsna consciousness. So we are suffering in this material world on account of forgetting Krsna. This is the root cause-forgetting Krsna. Krsna says, "I am the seed-giving father of everyone," and we have forgotten Krsna. We have forgotten our father. This is the disease. So in order to cure this disease, to awaken them to Krsna consciousness is the best welfare activity in the world, para-upakara. Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission is that. Janma sarthaka kari' kara para-upakara. India's mission is not that we colonize in other country and exploit them and bring money and become a lord. No. India's mission is how to revive Krsna consciousness throughout the whole world. That is India's mission. Revive Krsna con... Revive your Krsna consciousness, be fixed up in Krsna, and then distribute this knowledge. This is Indian mission.    (More...)
Imported quote 23393
So Indian life means para-upakara. They are in the darkness, others, in the darkness. They have no such culture, spiritual culture. India has got that culture, this Bhagavad-gita. So one should make his life a practically Bhagavad-gita life. That is Krsna conscious movement. And preach it to the world. That is Caitanya Mahaprabhu's order. And this order was not only... Because Caitanya Mahaprabhu happened to be a Bengali. He appeared in Nadia District, a district in Bengal. But He does not say the Bengalis; He said the bharati. Bharata-varsa janma haila yara. So it is India's mission to become exactly on the line of Bhagavad-gita. That is also spoken by Caitanya Mahaprabhu, that perfection of life means to understand Bhagavad-gita. He said, amara ajnaya guru hana tara' ei desa [Cc Madhya 7.128]:    (More...)
