People are..., try to understand, that this movement, Krsna consciousness movement, is Hindu movement: "Krsna is one of the Hindu gods." But that is not the fact. Krsna is God. God is God. God cannot be Hindu God, cannot be Muslim God, cannot be Christian God. God is God. Just like gold. If the Hindus deal gold, that does not mean gold becomes Hindu gold. So this bhakti is the first-class religion, paro dharma. All other different kinds of religious systems, they are material. "I am Hindu," "I am Muslim," "I am Christian," "I am Buddhist"-these are all material designation. Actually, it is not dharma. Just like gold. Gold cannot be Hindu gold, Christian gold, Muslim gold. Real... Here it is said that mat-sarvasva-padambhojau radha-madana-mohanau. One should take shelter of the lotus feet of Krsna. Instead of taking shelter of the lotus feet of Krsna, he will take shelter of the lotus feet of some bogus. That's it. They are called manda-matayo, manufacturing something new: "This is our process of religion." They do not know that religion cannot be manufactured. Religion is eternal. Religion... Dharmam tu saksad bhagavat-pranitam [SB 6.3.19]. Religion means the law given by God. The God is eternal; therefore His law is eternal. So how we can manufacture? You cannot manufacture religion. God is eternal, and His law is also eternal. Therefore God personally comes, and He says that "You have manufactured so many religions, but that is not religion. You give it up. You give them up." Sarva-dharman parityajya [Bg 18.66]: "Give up all this nonsense." Then what should be my religion? Mam ekam saranam vraja, that's all. This is eternal religion. Prabhupada: No, dharma is duty, varnasrama-dharma. That is also given up. That means the only duty becomes to Krsna consciousness. He said, sarva-dharman parityajya. In the beginning He said that dharma-samsthapanarthaya [Bg 4.8]. Yes. Yuge yuge sambhavami. Now, He said that "I appear to reestablish the principle of religion." So at the last stage He said, sarva-dharman parityajya. That means the so-called dharmas, or religion, which is going on in the world, they are not real. And the Bhagavata therefore says, dharmaḥ projjhita-kaitavo 'tra [SB 1.1.2], that "All kinds of pretending religion is rejected here." Pretending religion, what is that? Pretending... Just like gold. Gold is gold. If the gold is in the hand of some Hindu, then will it be called Hindu gold? Similarly, religion means obedience to God. So where is Hindu religion? Where is Christian religion? Where is Muslim religion? God is everywhere, and we are just meant for obeying God. That is one religion: obedience to God.
